What is Certified Payroll?

Contractors or Employees working on a government funded job, totaling over $2000, must be provided with a predetermined prevailing wage, also known as the Davis Bacon wage. By submitting a Certified Payroll Report on a regular basis, the employer is showing proof that they are compliant with these wage requirements when paying their workers.

Certified Payroll Reports may be required by a government agency or contractor when working on government funded projects. The inability to submit these reports can result in fines and penalties.
