Mandatory E-Verify in Florida

Beginning July 1, 2023, private employers with at least 25 employees in Florida must use the E-Verify system to verify the employment eligibility of each new employee within three business days of the worker's first day of work. This requirement applies to any worker hired on or after July 1, 2023.

Luckily, CertiPay can help you stay compliant in two different ways!

  • Electronic Full Onboarding Solution: Through our software integration with the federal government’s Employment Verification Program (EVP), you can upload your new hire’s information to the Department of Homeland Security at just the click of a button. Once you have completed & approved the I-9, you will be prompted to E-Verify your new hire. E-Verify is an internet-based system that compares information from an employee’s Form I-9 to data from U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration records. The information goes directly to the Department of Homeland Security for verification and the case results are integrated back to your employee’s onboarding record.
  • Electronic I9 & E-Verification: Two-part Form I-9 Compliance program provides employers with new and expedient methods of complying with the legal requirements of Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA). This includes online I-9 forms, verification of information federally approved with a Designated Agent of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) increases the efficiency and validity of Form I-9 employment verifications and processes. Through proprietary software integration with the federal government’s Employment Verification Program (EVP), 321Forms conduct automated Form I-9 legal “right to work” verifications for employers. Using the specific information contained on the Form I-9, 321Forms electronically verify the accuracy of Social Security Numbers, Immigration “A” numbers, and I-9 arrival/departure numbers while providing a DHS-issued unique verification number, which attaches to the employee’s original Form I-9.
